SILVER-COPPER LITZ BI-WIRED
This new model of a Bi-wire speaker cable has been developed
to satisfy the requirements for attaining the maximum consistency
of terminal amplifying devices used with high-quality acoustical
systems.
The fundamental difference between this model and other Bi-wire
speaker cables available on the market is that high- and low-frequencies
conductors are made of different materials. Thus, a double
silver (99.99% purity) ribbon wire insulated with porous Teflon
is used for medium and high frequencies of the musical range,
and an isolated oxygen-free copper litz (99.999% purity) wire
for bass woofer connection.

It is important to note that the cable's silver ribbon (HF)
and copper litz (LF) conductors are separated from each other
immediately at the input spade lug. Thus, the transmission
of low- and high-frequency components of the signal takes
place via two independent channels. This, in turn, dramatically
reduces the degree to which these conductors affect each other'
s performance. Potential disbalance in phase characteristics
resulting from different electrical conductivity of copper
and silver is compensated by using a carefully calculated
combination of such cable parameters as a cross-sectional
shape, length, and others (proprietary information of ELCO
Audio, Inc.).
The cable is equipped with a static protective filler preventing
it from coming into contact with the sources of static electrical
charges present on synthetic floor coverings (e.g. carpet).
Moreover, the thermo-insulating properties of the static filler
ensure the stability of environment surrounding the central
conductors of the cable. This, in turn, reduces and stabilizes
the time required to complete a break-in process.

High-quality WBT0660 sandwich spades are used for input (a
complete signal) and output (LF) low-frequency spade lugs.
These spade lugs offer excellent vibration-damping properties
for low-frequency signals.
To minimize the losses in quality of the resultant sound and
to optimize the consistency of components, output (HF) spades
of the high-frequency channel are made of high-quality "Cardas"
rhodium-plated spade lugs, which are an excellent match for
the silver material of the central conductor. The spade lugs
are attached to the conductor with a silver-containing soldering
material.
The combination of the above-mentioned features allows the
user to achieve an excellent correlation of such performance
parameters as focus, attack, transparency, and warmth and
smoothness of the signal. All of this leads to producing a
sound of unforgettable quality (Stereophile review pending).
