BLUE STAR SPEAKER CABLES
‘ SATURN 4’ BLUE STAR line- Palladium
Plated Pure Silver / Pure Copper LITZ Speaker Cables has designed to be used with
HiEnd and Super HiEnd Audio systems. Cable inner conductor consists combination of
Palladium plated Pure Silver (99.999% purity) Flat Ribbon wire and Pure copper LITZ
(multi-strands, individually insulated Pure (99.9999%) Copper wire.
Potential misbalance in phase characteristics resulting from different electrical
conductivity of copper , silver and palladium is compensated by using a carefully
calculated combination of such cable parameters as a cross-sectional shape, length,
and others (proprietary information of ELCO Audio, Inc.).
Due to ‘SKIN EFFECT’ (physical phenomena of the "displacement" of high-frequency
currents in the conductor towards its surface) requires the use of solid conductors
of small diameters (0.003" max.) or flat (RIBBON SHAPE) cross section center
conductor wire.
This ensures the homogeneity of current density distribution (or the minimum value
of current-density gradient) along the entire internal volume of a conductor.
Not meeting this requirement leads to phase distortions that, ultimately, result
in correlation of changes in spectral components, inner electrical resonance of
the signal and, consequently, reduced quality of a reproduced high fidelity sound.
Thus, the transmission of Bass- and Mid/High-frequency components of the audio signal takes place via two independent path and not interfere each other.
The fundamental difference between this model and other speaker cables available on the market is that Mid/High- and low frequencies conductors are made of different materials. Thus, a Palladium plated Pure Silver ( 99.999%) ribbon wire is used for medium and high frequencies of the musical range, and an individually insulated super pure oxygen-free OFC Copper LITZ (99.9999% purity) wire for bass-woofer connection.
This in turn provides a great audio signal phase stability, elimination of local electrical resonance and, as the result of that produces a real live 3 Dimensional clarity within Mid and High sound range, totally black silent and tight and clear Bass as well.
The cable is equipped with a static protective outer jacket preventing it from coming into contact with the sources of static electrical charges present on wood or synthetic floor coverings (e.g. carpet).
